Welcome to the SURFACE ART ASSOCIATION and SAA’s new website. We are happy to unveil our new look and hope you will enjoy exploring the website.

We are a membership based organization, and our membership is open to anyone who has a passion and interest in increasing awareness, understanding and appreciation of textiles and surface art in the art and design communities, as well as in the general public. It is the goal of SAA to inspire creativity and encourage innovation and further the rich tradition of textile and surface art through publications, exhibitions, conferences and education opportunities.

We hope you enjoy exploring our new website and will consider getting involved with SAA. The website includes information on our upcoming meetings and workshops. There are member artist pages to explore, and this is a great way to get to know the talented membership. There are past newsletters to see what SAA is all about, and for members watch for notifications of the latest newsletter. Discover how to join SAA and get involved. Of special note to members and guests is that you can now register for workshops, special events and join or renew your membership online. We now have a PayPal account.

SAA meets 6 times a year and each meeting features a presentation by an artist. This is often followed by a workshop. We invite you to explore, get involved, join and get to know the members of the Surface Art Association.
